A Bit of News

Since I do not care for spam myself, I am reluctant to expose you to it as well. Therefore, I was not entirely happy with the idea of posting your email address on our website. After discussing this issue at length with the webmaster, I have decided to try something a little different. I am now using our server's capability for creating email forwarders. I create a forwarder for your ad so that the email posted will be firstname.lastname@chicagolandmgclub.com. Any email sent to this address will be automatically forwarded to you by our server. The real beauty is that, after your ad expires, the forwarder also gets killed and any spam that was going to that address no longer knows where to go.

Member 1968 MGB Roadster
This car is in need of total restoration. It was in my garage for over 20 years before being moved last autumn, and it was the victim of an amateur restoration before I acquired it. Always on the back burner, always the next project, never making it to center stage on my TTD list. BRG. It is an overdrive car, wire wheels, with good condition non-original engine. Comes with: two new front fenders, new stow away top, original seats and interior, also set of 1969 seats (which have headrest & locking back), original engine (now disassembled). Priced at $2,300 as you see it in the photos. Without O/D deduct $700; without new fenders deduct $1,000; without new top deduct $200; without aluminum hood deduct $100. This is neither a parts car nor a "wheeler-dealer" quick-buck car; properly restored will be worth $high teens and a true classic to own.

$4,000.

Non-Member 1968 MGB GT
British Racing Green exterior and Black interior. Black leather seats with white piping. Black door panels, side panels, and carpet. Engine rebuilt by a previous owner. Car has been regularly maintained and is very solid throughout. This car runs and looks great - paint is older but still very nice and has a nice shine. The car has very few modifications from original. Odometer shows 84,xxx miles. I have owned this GT for nearly eight years. Previously the car resided in Oregon and California. I have not driven it in winter and have seldom driven it in rain. It is in great condition. It received First in Class Awards at two British Car Field Day Events (2002 & 2006). Reason for selling: I purchased an MG TC last summer, so I am reluctantly selling the GT so I can do the things I want to on the TC and on my TD. I find that I don't do the driving with the GT that I used to so have come to the decision to sell it and concentrate on the T-Series cars. Hopefully the GT will go to someone who will drive it and enjoy it! Well maintained and in great condition. Most all of the work has been professionally done & records are available. Please contact me for more information, or to request more pictures.
$8,600.
