  Chicagoland MG Club:Driveline
1/21/02 MEETING REPORT

The January meeting was called to order at 8:10 by Dave Bralich. Other officers present were Ray Glorioso, Dave Mullis and Mike Hirsch. There were 43 members present. One new member, Jeff Joseph, attended.
    Mike Hirsch was officially installed as Secretary.

OLD BUSINESS

Debora Mennell     Don Anderson reviewed the Cruise To The Rock, held on Thanksgiving Day. Several members of the club attended this happening.
    Oscar Gonzales talked about the Christmas party. He is asking for a volunteer to take over the event for 2002.
    Barney Gaylord talked about his Hydraulics Tech Session. About 6-8 People attended. He invited everyone to attend his upcoming Windscreen Tech session.

NEW BUSINESS

    Larry Daniels updated us on the Regalia. A new item was blue denim shirts with the club logo. He also advised that the last chrome plated model of a “B” was sold to a lucky individual in England. How fitting.
    Jim Evans talked bout the upcoming Swap Meet on Feb. 24. As of the meeting there were 55 spots sold, slightly ahead of last year. He is looking for volunteers to help with all aspects of the meet. There is a possibility that we will allow cars to be sold this year as part of the meet.
    Dave Mullis informed us of the upcoming Awards Banquet and offical business meeting. It is to be held Sunday Feb 17, starting at 6:30 pm. Cost is $20 per person and has a cash bar. The location has been changed to the Four Point Sheraton at Irving Park and Manheim.
    Kelvin Palmer talked about theIndoor Driving School sponsored by the Midwest Council of Sports Cars. It will be held on four consecutive Friday nights starting March 8th. It will be held at the Holiday Inn on Algonquin Rd and Rt 53. Contact Kelvin if interested.
    Steve Merical advised he is still looking for a car to be volunteered for the March 16th Technical Seminar at Al Piemonte Ford. Call Steve if interested.
    Terry Gaskin reviewed the Library.
    Jake Snyder talkled about the upcoming Feb Tech Sessions hosted by John Twist.
    For the 50/50 Raffle, Barney Gaylord donated a 1/18 model of the new Mini. This was won by Dave Mullis. $37 went to Elliot Gaylord and a 2001 Triumph (!) calendard was won be Bob Novak.
    The meeting was adjourned at 8:50.
    The program following the meeting was led by Ray Glorioso, trying to find a solution to his Leaking Petrol Tank.
