The spring Tune Up Party is one of the club’s oldest and most popular events. This year, after many years of a Sunday morning venue, we switched to Saturday afternoon April 26 to accommodate our host, Mark Leuck, at his new shop in Willowbrook, IL. Mark provided access to four lifts for four hours, during which time numerous club members has a chance to view – and tinker with! – the underside of their car without laying on the ground. Cars seen on the lifts included: MGC, MG-TD, MG Midget and MGB. As usual, a few surprises were found giving the owner’s a head-start on repairs that may have left them alongside the road if undetected. Roughly 15 cars were present not including several non-MG’s driven in to help with the work. And don’t forget, as a longtime MG enthusiast, Mark welcomes our club members patronage for both tire sales and mechanical repair services at his shop. Mark is at 630-789-2989.
