The Steering Column
Dave Bralich “How I spent my summer Vacation” Do you remember the question? Well I hope that when September rolls around and you are asked that question, you will have a big smile on your face as you start your litany of things you did this summer. So far it has been wet and cold, but I am already enjoying the start of summer. I have been in three different events already; two races with my MGB race car and the first annual “Spring Tour”.

It was brought to my attention that some of the members might be a little leery of participating in our “distant” driving events, such as Land’s End, the camping trip, or Abingdon. People shouldn’t be afraid to take their MGs on longer club functions. I know from personal experience that if there is a break down or an accident, the “Club” always comes through and gets the car (and driver) back home, usually under it’s own power. “As far as I know, we never left anybody behind.” quote by Bill Menell. Please don’t let the distance be a factor in your decision in joining us at an event. Every event is special and more fun when it’s well attended. This is definitely the case of “The more the merrier”.

Until next month (or driving event) “Safety Fast” to all of you.

Dave (Cowboy) Bralich
