    THE CLASSIC COLLECTION

These folks make replica T. D.’s, Austin Healys and Mercedes 540K looking things. Doesn’t everyone want an MG that sounds like a beetle.

DRIVING PLUS: The advanced Driving Video

    GUIDE TO MGB MAINTENANCE

HISTORY OF MOTOR RACING, PART 4: Titans II

    THE MAGIC MIDGET
    By British Leyland.
20 minutes mostly b&w. 1930’s history of Brooklands, Pendine Sands LSR runs, Nuvolari, etc. It’s too bad no one at British Leyland ever watched this apparently!

Colorful and informative account from ownership, history, competition, maintenance, and restoration. The Lindsay Porter speed secrets are here too!

    THE STORY OF THE MG
Fascinating and informative.... They’re all there, from Old Number 1 to the MGB V8. Got to see this one! 60 minutes.

    THE ROMANCE OF RESTORATION
    By White Post Restorations.
A very colorful “commercial” for one of the finest restoration shops in the country. Better than the earlier version listed below.

SU CARBURETORS, Overhaul, Tuning and Maintainance
Type H, HDF, HS adn HIF. Milaw Productions. Dispels the myth that SU carbs are complicated and difficult to work on. Disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and rebuilding! Check it out without SU carb book and “do it”!

WHITE POST RESTORATIONS - The White Post Story
All color. Meet the owner, see his funny mustache, listen to him brag. I’d like to see more cars. The newer version beats this hands down. But if you may be interested in having them do a restoration for you, this may give some insight into the company.

These videos are for loan to any member who wishes them, just like the books. Our latest policy has been to have all the books and videos physically brought to every monthly Monday meeting. There you may examine them and sign them out on the appropriate 3x5 card with just your name and phone number. If you wish the librarian to bring a certain book or video to a natter’n noggin Tuesday, that’s usually no trouble either. Please e-mail Howard Turk at bacaboat@aol.com or librarian@chicagolandmgclub.com or phone him at 847-279-0235 to make arrangements if interested. And if you have an idea of an additional book or video that belongs in the library, you could just be the next Chicagoland MG Club Librarian.
