It was an event called a “drag race” at the Sprite Spree for AH sprites, May 12-15, 2003. The object was to “drag” the car with a 4 man team and driver through a slalom course the fastest. 1 is a shot of my team in action, showing that I dragrace barefoot as well. There is Biff Jones, Larry Macy, David Lieb, and I think it was Allen Fischer, with David Lloyd driving. Bear in mind that it was an uphill course around a three cone slalom with the rear brakes tightened up four notches. 2 is the winning team of Mike Gigante providing the low-end torque, the Moses boys, Jim and Joe the track stars, providing the top-end horsepower, Frank Clarici missing the cones for a change, and somebody else filling out the required number of cylinders. Note that the car involved is one of the few Midgets that showed up (outnumbered vastly by the Bugeyes), which seems to imply that a Midget is really a Sprite in drag.
