Monday, May 21, 2007

Brief reports were given on car projects.
-“Cowboy” had a problem getting his engine back into the car so that it aligns with the transmission
-Dean Swanson said the alternator on his ’68 B has been acting up

PAST EVENTS

The Rambling Road to Roscoe Rally was run in conjunction with the Windy City Miata Club on 5/5/07. Eight cars from each club ran it. Trish presented the MG awards for first through third places (Paul Urquhart, David L. Ransom, Jr., & the Goebberts), plus three others – Doug Clark for Best Solo Performance, Seth Jones for Press On Regardless, and Barney for Most Miles. Those who participated said the rally was good, with extended stretches that could be driven in fourth (or fifth) gear. Some Club members also went to the nearby museum afterward. Thanks to Dave Lieb and Trish for running this inter-club event.
Yesterday the Miata club held a rain-shortened autocross where five MGs showed up.
