Library Muse
Not much to report this month. Because the library will be closed at the July meeting there will be no book review this month. Please hold on to your books until the August meeting, at which time we will be back in full service.
Last month’s little puzzle was the line in my article, “time is tight.” That was the title of the hit song recorded by Booker T and the MGs. Yes, they took their name from our favorite car company. The band’s producer had earlier belonged to a group called the Triumphs, and he had owned both brands of LBCs.

The “Odd” Natter 'n' Noggin
By now you have probably recognized the pattern. The odd Months (January, March, May, July, September, and November) are at Finn McCool's in Schaumburg and the even Months (February, April, June, August, October, and December) are at Roundhead's in Downers Grove. Based on the increasing attendance, this pattern seems to work really well. The last few Months we have seen around 20 people joining us for a drink, a bite, and a casual conversation. And we also see some spouse's getting interested. Let's hope for some nice weather on July 14th so that we can enjoy Finn McCool's outdoor patio. Otherwise we'll be in our usual corner of the restaurant.

Finn McCool's is very easy to find. It is right at the Algonquin Road off-ramp from Route 53 (which is the I-355/290 extension) Coming from the North or the South, turn Right, West, on Algonquin and Finn McCool's is right there on the left side The reservation for 7:00 PM on July 14th is in the MG Club name. And they know that we are not all coming at the same time and like to have separate checks.

Parts Program
CMGC has implemented a program to find good homes for its inventory of generously donated MG parts. The parts are located in Glen Ellyn or Wheaton. The classifieds for these parts will be active for about one week, so check the site often. Items that are not sold will be auctioned on eBay under the seller name of cmgc-parts. Please contact David Evans at ebaymaster@chicagolandmgclub.com for any questions or part requests. The current eBay items may be viewed here at http://myworld.ebay.com/cmgc-parts
