Wine, Cheese, Beer and Pioneers Tour 2007! - September 15-16, 2007

The third annual CMGC Wine, Cheese, and Beer tour is almost here. We have 46 people joining us in Whitewater Saturday night.
Ann and I are driving to Rockford on Friday, September 14th. Dinner for the Friday night group will be at 6:00 PM at JMK Nippon Restaurant. We will have an excellent dinner and get a fresh start for the weekend. We have 26 people spending the night in Rockford.
We will start the tour from the Quality Inn at 7401 Walton Street in Rockford at 9:00 AM Saturday morning. We will cruise some of Wisconsin’s great MG roads in the morning and arrive at Old World Wisconsin for an afternoon of fun. Lunch will be at The Clausing Barn’s restaurant. It is, most appropriately for us, OCTAGONAL!
Dinner will be at Randy’s Fun Hunter Brewery and Restaurant in Whitewater, Wisconsin. I will have sent everyone on the email list an abbreviated menu for the evening. You can see their full menu at www.funhunters.net. They normally have 5 or 6 of their beers available. They also offer growlers of beer to go (for the parking lot party).
We will be staying at Amerihost Inns in Whitewater, Wisconsin on the 15th of September. We booked 24 of the 25 rooms in our block.
We will leave Whitewater Sunday morning to complete our drive through the scenic back roads of Wisconsin, ending in New Glarus for an early lunch. They have assured me they will have plenty of their home made Honey Mustard available, We will spend a few hours to visit the Primrose Winery and the New Glarus Brewery.. We hit the road again around two thirty to drive to Baumgartner’s Cheese in Monroe.
If anyone would like to join the tour Saturday or Sunday let me know so I can forward the route to you.
