Lucas Memorial Knight Rally

Yes, it was a bit chilly Saturday night. Eight teams did, however, manage to find their way to the launch pad for the 2003 Lucas Knight Rally. Bravely into the night drove four Miatas, an MGA, and three MGBs. Their mission this year? Find that elusive steeple!

Armed with cleverly-altered maps that showed which roads were allowed as well as twenty-two pictures of various and sundry churches, steeples, and towers that they may or may not see along the way, they sallied forth to spend two hours and twenty minutes on the quest. None of the checkpoints went unfound, although the top team only found seventeen of the twenty-two.

Nine o'clock found them at the Kelsey Road House Restaurant to turn in their answers and commiserate with their fellow sufferers over food and liquid refreshments. I wonder what next year will be like...
