MINUTES FOR MEETING
September 15, 2003

    The meeting was called to order at 8:04 PM by Bill Mennell. There were 34 members in attendance. We had no guests at this meeting.
    Two new members were present. Dave Guerra, original owner of a ’62 MGA MkII, recently restored and Scott Kitzerow, ‘69B w/overdrive.

PAST EVENTS

August 24th, Warrenville AMC Autocross. Presented by Don Anderson. 16 cars were in attendance. It was a fast course, about 40 seconds. We did 3 runs each and then did another 3 runs in the reverse direction.
Sept 7th, British Car Fest. Over 650 cars were shown. We gained 10 new members. The weather was ideal for the show. Dave “Cowboy” Bralich won first prize for his race car.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Sept 21, AHCA Fall Gymkhana. All MG’s are invited to attend.
Sept 27, Lucas Night Rally. Starts in Barrington at the Ace Hardware parking lot
Sept 28, Valve cap replacement tech session at Dave Bralich’s
Oct 12, Fall Color Tour
Oct 20th, CMGC’s 27th anniversary meeting.

Library: Reported by Howard Turk. We added four new books to our collection.
Regalia: Dave Ransom updated us on the available items.

Mike Hirsch OLD BUSINESS

George Goepner is still collecting models for the Mecrcy Home for Boys. Please bring your contibution to either our October or November meeting. Please no paints or glue.

NEW BUSINESS

We will be accepting nominations for next year’s officers at our October and November meetings. If you would like to run or know someone who does. Please let the current officers know or place the name in nomination at our meetings.
Bill Mennell has tickets available for the Indy Gran Prix.
Shirley Goebbert informed us that Larry Zorn of the Little British Car Company is planning their trip to England in the spring. It leaves from Detroit and will be the last two weeks of March. The trip will be car orientated. Check their web site for details.

The 50/50 raffle was won by Dave Bralich.

The night’s program was a mini tech session on how to rebuild an alternator.
