MINUTES FOR MEETING
November 18, 2002

    The meeting was called to order at 8:00 by Dave Bralich. There were 41 members in attendance.

OLD BUSINESS

Mike Hirsch     Bill Hedrick talked about the Halloween Ralley. Fourteen cars showed up and eleven cars finished.
    Russ Fitch spoke about the Fall Tune Down Party. The people at Al Piemonte Ford were klnd enough to allow us use of their service department. We had 5 lifts available for our use. Afterwards, some of the people went over to Jeff Powell’s garage to view his cars and “museum.”
    Emission testing preparations were hosted by Dave Bralich over two weekends. It was very successful since 7 of 8 cars passed the test.

NEW BUSINESS

    As always, we are having our annual “Cruise to the Roock” on Thanksgiving morning in honor of the first auto race in the US.
    The Christmas Party will be held Saturday. December 7th. The cost is $17.50 per person. Reservations need to be in by December 1st. Please bring a desert to pass around. Contact Dave Mullis to make reservations or if you have questions.
    There will be no December meeting.
    Jake and Ann Snyder, as usual, are coordinating the Amtrak Road Trip. This year’s destination is the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Ky. If Amtrak is on schedule, a tour of lthe Corvette factory is possible. Per person costs are $121 for train fare and $8 for the museum in addition to the motel and incidentals. Contact Jake or Ann for further details.
    The nominations for next year’s officers were led by Jim Evan’s. At the October meeting, Mike Hirsch, for Secretary, Dave Mullis, for Treasurer, and Bill Hedrick for President, were nominated. Two more nominations for President were made. Bill Mennell was nominated by Bill Hedrick and seconded by Ray Glorioso, and Paul Urquhart was nominated by Dave Bralich and seconded by Kim Tonry.
    Dave Ransome talked about regalia.
    Howard Turk reviewed the library, including 2 new videos, MG;’s In America.
    The 50/50 raffle,$31, was won by Shirley Goebbert. Second prize, some MG postcard reproductions were won by Howard Turk. Third prize, the honor of being the first borrower of the new videos, was won by Oscar Gonzales.

    There will be no board meeting on December 2nd. Instead, we will have a discussion on changes to our web site. All members are invited. It will be at 7:30 pm upstairs at Mack’s Golden Pheasant.
    The meeting was adjourned at 9:00.
