The November meeting marked the last opportunity this year for club members to earn “MG Bucks” and the program is now closed for 2007. This year, “MG Bucks” were awarded for attending certain events and for wearing an “MG” t-shirt to club meetings. The results of the program have been tallied and are available for inspection on the club website. The officers have decided that “MG Bucks” can be exchanged for club dues and for club regalia, subject to a limitation of 50% of dues. For example, any member who earned – say – 13 MG Bucks can apply up to 10 of those MG Bucks to 2008 dues (i.e. up to $10 or 50% of dues) and can use the remaining MG Bucks to help purchase club regalia (i.e. $3 off a regalia purchase in this example). All club members who earned “MG Bucks” this year will receive a certificate before January 1 indicating their total MG Bucks award. Also, MG Bucks must be used for 2008 dues and for 2008 regalia purchases and may not be carried over to future years.
