Member - 1973 MG RWA Midget
Completely rust free 1973 RWA Midget easy project. Every panel original, every factory weld can be seen. Drove to BCF in 2011, off road since - we were overseas. Strong engine, rebuilt gearbox, over $1500 in professionally rebuilt front suspension, with Centric calipers and Brembo rotors. Front end on dolly with 8" castors, can be flat-bedded. Member - 1977 MGB - British Racing Green. 66,000 miles with only two owners from new. Current owner since 1988. Tan interior with black carpets. Garage kept with no rust on the body. Original paint is in good condition with a few scratches and minor dents. Passenger door skin has a split in it by the quarter light window. Car was recommissioned in September 2014 with a new battery, top radiator hose, brake hoses and rear wheel cylinders. Four new Falken tires fitted in 2015. 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Overdrive is currently not working. Convertible top is good with clear rear window but has a couple of small tears. Car starts easily and runs well. Steering is light & positive. Carmine Red. Replaced Front Wings,L&R Rockers, inner sill, vertical sill structural members, rear dog legs, carpeting & Top. New Ignition, fuel Pump, Weber DCOE 45 currently in place. Car has not been run in 1 year. Carb & Fuel system will definitely need to be gone through. When last running, car backfired at idle through the front barrel of the weber. Backfire was alleviated with propane enrichment. I have several extra parts that are included. Sadly, I’ve just lost interest in this car. $3,500. Non-Member - 1970 MG Midget
White with black interior. Cosmetically less than perfect but looks fine from the cockpit. I got a bad paint job 20 years so there's a some surface rust and chipped paint, but its very solid, original and a good, reliable runner. I bought the car from the original owner 30 years ago in Calif. and have driven it every summer since. Almost never in the snow or rain. Rear brakes, rebuilt the PDWA added Clarici alternator conversion a few years ago, put 4 new tires on it last summer, and the headlights run on relays. Kingpins & A arms from University Motors long ago. Oil cooler. Otherwise, its pretty much unchanged from how it left Abingdon.
