15th Annual All British Car Swap Meet & Autojumble

We opened the doors Sunday morning to a record vendor registration of over 90 vendors occupying 120 spaces. The days leading up to the Swap were tense as this count was beyond our routine capacity. Several alternatives were explored, to include renting a third building and also “trading” buildings with the Toy Show group. In the end, the best solution was to redraw our traditional layout and squeeze a few more spots into our existing buildings.

The Saturday night crew did a good job laying out the new configuration, so there were no snafu’s Sunday morning when the vendors arrived. A good supply of club volunteers kept both the vendor and shopper flow well managed throughout the day, and also assisted with Sunday afternoon cleanup.

This year’s vendors came from as far east as Pennsylvania and as far west as Kansas. The surrounding states of Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Minnesota were also represented. Well known vendors included: Little British Car Co, Triple-C, University Motors, Burt Levi, Riverside Motors, NAMGBR, AMGBA, and more. All the local British Car clubs also staffed club booths.

Thanks to all the club members who helped make the event a success; there are too many to list completely but especially appreciated were Bill Mennell and Jack Feldman for managing the vendor check-in Sunday morning, Bill Reece for managing the second building throughout the day, and Barney Gaylord for keeping on eye on things throughout the day.
