Spring Tune-up
Don’s Auto Ade

With the warm weather that we enjoyed in mid-February, I hope that everyone had the opportunity to get their MGs out. Mine’s been out all winter. Not on the road or parked in the drive, but at a repair shop getting new floor pans installed, plus someother work getting ready for summer. That would be a bit ambitious for the club’s annual spring tune-up party, but oil changes, tire rotations, lubes, and minor repairs would be spot on. For the fourth year in a row Don’s Auto Ade in Warrenville will be hosting the tune-up party. Put your MG up on a rack and see what’s underneath. Or what’s not but should be. The view can be quite scary!
As usual its first come, first served. Club members MGs have priority, then other LBCs as time permits. Bring your own 20w50 and oil filter. Tire mounting, balancing and wheel alignments will be available for a fee. If you need new tires or a battery call ahead. Dave “Cowboy” Bralich will serve as pit boss. Check with him before starting any projects. All work must be completed. Then join us at Warrenville’s hidden gem, Two Brothers Brewery , for the post tune-up party.

Jana and I are in the early stages of planning the Spring Chicken Rally/Tour for this year and hope that you can attend. Please save the date of Sunday, May 7 for this event.
We will update the plans as they are finalized and post the information in next month’s Driveline, as well as on our club’s web site and our club’s Facebook page. We just hope that we are blessed with the good weather that we had the last several years.
