EDITOR’S CORNER

I always seem to be ‘behind the eight ball’. Last fall my car never made it into shelter for the winter. It withstood the coldest, deepest snow in recent history. This spring, I would have liked to get on the road on a couple of those early-season warm days. But alas, car won’t start. It cranks over, but won’t catch. We all know only three things can be at fault – fuel, ignition & timing, air supply. I ruled out air supply and played with the ignition. I have spark and the required gaps appear correct. The last culprit – fuel – must be the cause. I’ll need to check the fuel flow from tank through to the intake manifold. Time is running short since I have a number of away-from-home commitments this month that restrict my troubleshooting efforts before driving season takes off. Darn eight ball….
In this month’s issue you will find an article highlighting the remaining driving awards presented during the February Business Meeting. Thanks Reinout!
Spring tune-up is the focus this month and there is an article introduction to a brake caliper replacement that can be found in its entirety on the CMGC website. Thanks to Cowboy and Barney for this information.
The first of the Driving events for this season are also highlighted. Check it out and see you on the road!
