EDITOR’S CORNER
Talk about great weather to get in the mood to drive. At first I was concerned that the local flooding was going to affect me since the storage area my car was located is near the Fox Lake. Upon closer inspection, It was on high/dry ground. The car started without much difficulty and with a quick checkout—air pressure, mouse-proofing efforts abated, fluid levels checked—it was time to hit the road home.

It felt good to be back in the car after the winter; and fortunately my left knee replacement therapy was sufficient for me to shift effortlessly. I’m looking forward to a lengthy driving trip to give it the supreme test.

In this month’s issue:
> Many driving events are planned this season. Check out the preliminary details inside.
> Autocross update – see what you need to participate.
> Check out the progress Jim Evans has made with updating his 1977 MGB.
> Maintenance is key with keeping our cars on the road. See the activity at this year’s Spring Tune-up.
> Check out the gearbox Tech Session scheduled for mid-May.
> What does the National Security Agency and an Austin-Healey have in common? Read about this the interesting combination in Ralph Arata’s ‘Tales of Mongrel’ article.
