On this driving tour you will travel Sheridan Road from the far North suburbs passing a few homes of the “rich and famous”, following the turns and curves of the ravines, catching glimpses of Lake Michigan with a short detour through historical Fort Sheridan leading you into far North Chicago and onto Lake Shore Drive. From Lake Shore Drive you will continue driving South to the Museum Campus, passing Soldier Field, the Adler Planetarium, the Shedd Aquarium, and the Field Museum. This drive is not your back, country road with “no paint”. Once in Chicago, be prepared for heavy traffic with stop and go driving. There will be two re-grouping areas planned for cars that have been separated from the caravan.

The MG Car Club Southwestern Ohio Centre is pleased to host GT-37 and invites the NAMGAR Universe to join us in Dayton, Ohio, for an historic and fun-filled event.

2012 marks the 50th anniversary of the last MGA off the production line and the 100th anniversary of the invention of the automobile electric starter by Daytonian Charles F. Kettering. Mark your calendar and start prepping your car for a trip to Dayton, Ohio, in July.

In addition to all of the planned GT-37 activities such as the car show, funkhana, banquet, ladies’ tea, MG Olympics, and tech sessions, there are a variety of self guided drives and unique sightseeing options.

Six historic covered bridges are connected by scenic country roads, all located within neighboring Greene County. A few other highlights on this tour include historic Yellow Springs, home to Antioch University, an ice cream stop at Young’s Jersey Dairy, and a visit to the historic 1802 Clifton Mill. The second covered bridge tour features an unbelievable nine bridges. Seven are located in Preble County, five of which are still in daily use.

A self-guided city sightseeing tour features National Aviation Heritage Area locations. The National Park Service operates many sites associated with Dayton’s aviation history. Part of the driving tour connect-ing the sites include the Wright Cycle Company complex, the Huffman Prairie Flying Field, the Paul Laurence Dunbar State Memo-rial, Hawthorn Hill, and the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Most of these sites offer free admission.
