30 Members in attendance

CMGC President Ray Hansen opened the meeting at 8:01 pm.

Car Projects
Jim Compton
was in the process of rebuilding the carburetors on his 1978 MGB hoping to get the work complete before the autocross later this month. He also completed a gas tank install.

Pat Guest noted that he currently has his 1974 MGB on cinder blocks in the garage. A few weeks ago, he came across a great ‘garage find’ – a 1973 MGB in good shape (so far as he could tell). It now sits alongside the ’74 in the garage. Now he has 2 cars to work on!

Steve ‘Sparky’ Sparks wanted to adjust his dual carburetors but needed an airflow meter. He found one online but the intake opening was too large to work correctly. The solution was to take a cardboard tub from a toilet tissue roll and form a good fit to the carburetors. The car is still missing and backfires on occasion.

Dave Bralich was road-testing out the recently upgraded dual-line braking system. After a short while he noticed the car was braking hard. After getting back to the shop he noticed the front brake had locked up. Still investigating the problem.
