EDITOR’S CORNER
I finally did it!

After procrastinating for over a year keeping my MG top together for another season with the help of pop rivets and electrical tape (duct tape wouldn’t stick to vinyl), I broke down and ordered a new top. When it arrived all I could see was a massive amount of material and no instructions! Upon my request, Victoria British sent me a one paragraph guide – hardly worth the phone call. I found a great in-depth guide from the MG Experience website (http://www.mgexp.com/article/soft-top-replacement.html) that really helped my comfort level.

The top is on; looks great – and it wasn’t as hard as I expected. The trial run was during the Jo Daviess Tour – it kept off the early rainstorm and the blazing sun during the remainder of the tour. That zip-out window is a godsend. I don’t know why I waited so long to replace the top!

July is setting up to be a busy month. Check out the coming events and activities. See you on the road...

In this month’s issue:
> Autocross update – see what you need to participate.
> It is not too late to sign up for this year’s ‘Lake Shore Tour’
> We have ‘MG museums’ in our backyard – check out the Garage Tour II.
> Read all about the ‘Trials & Tribulations’ during the Jo Daviess Tour
