Monthly Meeting Minutes

CMGC President Dave Novak opened the meeting at 8:02 pm. President and Vice-President were away.
Car Projects- Dave Bralich is replacing the single line braking system on his 67 MGB after experiencing a ‘non-stoppage’ event on the road. He will be upgrading to the newer dual line system found on later cars.
Guest Speaker –Ralph Arata, gave a presentation on his experience in South America with a Australian MG group encounter next month.
Past Events
Spring Chicken Rally - sponsored by George & Jana Phariss turned out to be a glorious day despite the threat of rain.
AHC/CMGC Autocross was postponed due to weather.
Land’s End Rally - 11 cars entered.

Up coming Driving/Social Event Schedule
June 19-20—British Car Show at Highland Games, Itasca, IL, James Brennan
June 21—Miata Autocross I – Need to register early; only 75 cars will run at this event. If the CMGC can have 5 cars entered, they will be in their own class. Otherwise, they run against BMWs Miatas, etc.

June 27-28—Secrets of Jo Daviess County; word has it that there are limited rooms available; call in today for your reservation.
July 2—Driver Education, Blackhawk Farms
July 4—July 4th Parade, Car Show and Party in Riverside organized by the Navarro family; limited space.
July 14—Natter ‘n’ Noggin, Finn McCool’s Schaumburg, IL

Finance – no report
Membership – Secretary Victor L’Heureux reported the club membership increased again this month with two new members and one returning member.
No new business was presented for discussion. The Chicago Blackhawks game is on the big screen TV in our meeting room. Private showing with our own bartender to watch the Hawks win the Stanley Cup again. What a life!
