Tally Ho Rally

The Rally start and end point is the Lucky Monk Restaurant and the rally length is less than 75 miles. The rally route is designed to provide a fun experience, with scenic and very low traffic MG roads, taking you past open fields, horse pastures, some amazing homes, and lovely gardens and landscaping. Your rally car is an MG or any other car you have running. Equipment needed is a car, pencil, watch, and navigator.

Registration is at 11:00 am, drivers meeting at 11:30 am, and the first car will be starting at 12:00 noon.

Westmont Street Fair
Featuring CMGC Cars
August 20, 2015

The Chicagoland MG Club will be featured at the Westmont Street Fair on August 20th from 5 - 9 pm. This is not your typical Cruising Night. Westmont has expanded it into a weekly Street Fair featuring children's activities, live music, food, drinks, special events and a great deal of fun. Cass Ave. from the tracks north to Chicago Ave. will be closed and blocked off for this event. The event has doubled in size this year. Last year 19 members joined us for the fun and we are looking forward to many more this year.

Cars can arrive between 4:30 - 5 pm. Dinner and other activities will be planned for a fun evening. (more details to follow)

Club Parts Locker Garage Sale

Midget, and even some “T”-type stuff. We have engine parts and blocks, transmissions, brightwork, axles, suspension stuff, glass, etc. A few MGA body parts.

Club members are invited to inspect the parts and make a “silent auction” bid on items of interest. Remember our motto: “no bid is too low”. After all, we just want to see this stuff go to someone who can use it rather than put it in the dumpster.

The club parts locker is located at Thompson’s Grand Rental Station, 21W550 North Ave, Lombard Il 60148. This is about ½ mile west of the I-355 ramp at North Ave (Rt 64); it is on the north side of the street and is sometimes not easy to see. The club has unit D-5, and the start time will be announced when we get closer to the date.

"Movies Under The Stars"

This will be the 3rd annual showing for this event. Let’s all meet at SCOOBY'S HOT DOGS (1020 E North Ave, West Chicago) at 6:00 and then proceed to the show at 7:00.

Most folks will bring their lawn chairs and snacks although a few visited the snack bar for the traditional movie goodies. It is a good idea to bring a ‘boom box’ to tune in the movie FM audio transmission.
