This annual tour will start at: Bob and Marianne Anderson’s home located at 228 W. Russell Street Barrington, IL. Plan on arriving at 9:30 for coffee and to see their cars and loads of other interesting things.

We will leave at 10:45 - 10:30 am to visit the shop of Derrig Desig located at 22073 N. Pepper Road in Barrington. Phil Derrig has an interesting studio and will show us the signs and his facility/museum. From there we will leave at about 11:30 am for a 45 min. drive to the home of Ray and Mardee Cost located at 4115 Bennett Ave in Gurnee for Ray’s Morris and MG Picnic.

The tour route is simple and direct between the various stops. You don’t have a MG or Morris to drive? That’s all right, come to the great event and picnic anyway. Looking forward to a great outing.

Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Chicagoland MG Club and the 50th anniversary of the Vintage MG Club. We will be taking a short tour stating up North at Panera Bread, Lake Bluff, IL (Southeast Corner of Route 176, Rockland Road and Route 43, Waukegan Road) and ending at the Burnam Harbor Yacht Club for a picnic and drinks.

The Drivers meeting will be at 9:45 AM with a tour start time of 10:00 AM
The yacht club is located on Northerly Island . This is a great place to view the Chicago skyline. A buffet lunch will be served consisting of Burgers, Hot Dogs, Chicken, Potato Salad, Green Salad, Chips, Dessert, Soft Drinks, Champagne Toast. A Cash Bar will be available. The cost is $20.00 per person (includes tax, does not include tip).

Smiles, smiles, and more smiles. This is what has been experienced in the past at this event.

On Sunday August 7th we are looking for a few volunteers with their cars to be available for showing and maybe driving around the parking lot with a pediatric cancer patient from Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge.

We have participated for a number of years in this event to give the children a ride in our MGs. This is quite an event with entertainment, games, music and food for about 750 people and run by volunteers in the St. Paul's Woods forest preserve in Morton Grove. We will be parked together with the police car, ambulance, and fire truck. But unlike those, where the kids could just sit in them, we take them for rides to the end of the forest preserve road and back.

This a wonderful wat to give back to the community and share the joy of the kids riding in our vintage cars.
