Well the driving season is well under way. We’re on schedule for our next Autocross on July 27th with the Windy CityMiata club at Boomers stadium in Schaumberg. Registration opens July 13th. Register early or risk not being able to race as Kevin learned last time. Please make sure you’ve can register on “Motorsport.Reg”. If you need help call my mobile (847-922-9800) and I’ll try to help you get registered. The cost is $40 for Non-WCMC, Non-Miata (Visiting Club) I usually choose Visiting club 1 when registering. If there is another club then we may get bumped to Visiting club 2 but all of that is behind the scenes and not something you need to concern yourself with.

I expect it to be very hot that day. It is late July. So bring lots of water, sunscreen and a hat. While the racing is fun, the working the course in the afternoon can be draining due to the heat.

I haven’t settled on our third Autocross date yet. I just got back from a Mediterranean cruise with my family. What a great trip. We will also be heading to the Caribbean in September. I have to get my dates together so we can select when Autocross III will be.
