Tally Ho Rally
Sponsored by the Vintage MG Car Club of Chicago
Sunday, July 10, 2011

The rally route was designed to provide a fun experience, with scenic and very low traffic MG roads, taking you past open fields, horse pastures, some amazing homes, and lovely gardens and landscaping. The rally length was about 95 miles and ended at Jameson’s Restaurant & Pub in Dell Webb Sun City in Huntley.

The starting point was again this year the parking lot of the Millrose Restaurant which is just north of the I-90 Barrington Rd exit. Fourteen cars entered the rally.

The rally was a timed event – points were deducted if a team were early/late from the dedicated rally time (predetermined and known by the rally master). This made for some interesting scores. Additionally, there were seven foxes to locate along the course. They weren’t as timid as last year and were more visible along the roadway although our team only saw four of these critters.

Team Barney Gaylord & Teresa tied for 7th place with Team Vic L’Heureux & Penny. Prizes were awarded for the best scores.
