Chicagoland MG Club: Driveline August 2013
Feature Article

We started with about 19 cars, enjoyed a great tour of the lake front and made a stop at Baha'i Temple in Wilmette with I believe 24 cars (no break downs). A couple of members joined the tour mid-route. Also a non-member spotting us decided to join the tour for a short distance. We gave him a membership application before he departed our group.

The temple and gardens at each of the nine entrances were marvelous. We were able to view a short 20-min video describing the Baha'i religion and tour the grounds. Our time spent at this stop was one hour and it seemed to pass so quickly with so much to see.

From there we continued the tour for less than 30 minutes traveling past Ravinia and Fort Sheridan. We concluded our tour at Bridie McKenna's Irish Pub and Restaurant in Highwood to gather with familiar faces and also some new members over a great lunch and a few beers.

One last note on the tour - with all the traffic of the city we were glad not to have to look for landmarks or answer questions.

Our hats go off to Ray and Sue; Carol and I look forward to this event next year. Thanks for a great event.
~~ Rich & Carol Lehman
