Wine, Cheese, & Beer Tour 2014
- Festival Finale September 19-21, 2014

Join us for a fun weekend on our tenth annual WCB Tour! The fun begins Friday evening (September 19) in Rockford for dinner at our favorite Japanese restaurant; if you have joined us before you know the food is excellent as is the preparation. The evening will end with a parking lot party at the hotel.

On Saturday (September 20), we depart from the hotel parking lot for a cruise through southeastern Wisconsin on some very scenic and historic roads. We end the day in Port Washington, WI on Saturday night for dinner by the lake followed by another parking lot party. Sunday we take a short cruise to Cedarburg for their annual wine and harvest festival. We can guarantee good food, good driving, good shopping, and most of all, good company. We will be traveling on some very scenic Wisconsin roads and even some with a history.

RESERVATIONS: We are staying at the Quality Suites on Walton Street in Rockford Friday night. The room rate is $85.00 plus tax. If you want to join us Friday, please reserve your rooms from the Chicagoland MG Club block.  The number at the hotel is 815 227-1300.  Please let us know if you plan to join us for Friday dinner so we can make reservations.

The hotel for Saturday is the Holiday Inn – Port Washington. The rate is $94.00 for two queen non lake view room or $119.00 for a lake view room. The phone number is 262-284-9461. The block is under the Chicagoland MG Club. We look forward to seeing you there!

Please note the August 19th deadline for our group rate at the hotels. The hotel room blocks are reserved under the Chicagoland MG Club

This tour is a finale for another reason. This is the tenth Wine, Cheese, and Beer Tour Ann and I have done. We have decided to retire and give other members a shot at organizing a great weekend for the great members of the Chicagoland MG Club. I have no idea where the last 10 years have gone, but we have really enjoyed them. We are looking forward to joining our MG friends on whatever tours the future brings.

We look forward to seeing you there in September and in the future!

Few MG in the early 60s, but one is an MG Magnette with license plate AG-65-54

A very typical post WWII residential street in Holland with 2-story row houses. The other two cars look like a Renault Dauphine and German Ford (nicknamed a Globe).

Enjoy and MGreetings,
