  Monthly Meeting Minutes
July 18, 2016

Victor Lheureux

30 Members & guests in attendance

CMGC president Dave Novak opened the meeting at 8:00 pm. Dave welcomed visitor Jim Reid and members Lara Barouski and Keith Strutz to the meeting.

Car Projects
Steve Sparks displayed a damaged head gasket that was the culprit in his Midget misfiring. The car was running well on the trip to Louisville and back but was misfiring badly a few days after his return. Checking the electrical system did not locate the problem but a compression test showed there was something wrong. The culprit was located once the head was removed.
Dave Bralich has completed a repair of the braking system by replacing the brake lines. He says he got pretty good with bending the piping. The trick was in correctly producing the double flaring.
Jim Michel finished his MGA engine rebuild.
