PEDS in the Weeds

Smiles, smiles, and more smiles. This is what has been experienced in the past at this event.

On Sunday August 7th we are looking for a few volunteers with their cars to be available for showing and maybe driving around the parking lot with a pediatric cancer patient from Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge.

We have participated for a number of years in this event to give the children a ride in our MGs. This is quite an event with entertainment, games, music and food for about 750 people and run by volunteers in the St. Paul's Woods forest preserve in Morton Grove. We will be parked together with the police car, ambulance, and fire truck. But unlike those, where the kids could just sit in them, we take them for rides to the end of the forest preserve road and back.

This a wonderful wat to give back to the community and share the joy of the kids riding in our vintage cars.

Westmont Street Fair
Featuring CMGC Cars
August 18, 2016

SHINE UP YOUR CAR & COME SHOW IT OFF at the Westmont Street Fair on Thursday August 18th from 5:00 – 9:00, featuring the Chicagoland MG Club.

This is not your typical Cruisin’ Night. Over 3000 people come weekly to enjoy not only the 225+ classic cars but also live music, food, drinks, children activities and much more. The event is held in Downtown Westmont on Cass Avenue. (Cass Avenue will be closed from Norfolk to Burlington to provide plenty of Classic Car parking) Remember this is not a “Car Show” it’s a Cruisin’ night open to all cars any condition.

Cars start arriving around 4:30. All cars should enter the event at Norfolk and Cass. Norfolk is 2 blocks north of Burlington Avenue and 1 block south of Naperville/Chicago Avenue. If you are unable to arrive that early, you are still welcome and can pull in any time during the event.

Once again there will be a short MG Walking Rally around 6:00 pm followed by a catered dinner and prizes.
