Westmont Cruisin' Nights & Street Fair

The weather was perfect for the Westmont Crusin' Night, upper 70's and sunny.  Three block of downtown Cass Avenue in Westmont were closed to traffic as 190 cars and motorcycles showed off their ‘stuff’. There were live bands playing at each end of the event along with six pubs authorized to sell beverages in the street.

17 vintage cars from the Chicago MG car clubs came in for the event.  We had 2 TDs, 2 midgets, 1 MGC, 1 MGB GT, 9 MGBs, 1 RV8 and 1 mini




The Walking Rally seemed to be quit a challenge this year with the shortened time.  Phil Wydra with local navigator won with 14 point, right behind them with 13 points was Doug Clark and Rich Meservey & Sundy Mead finishing 3rd with 9 points.

The People's Choice winner was Robert Simon with his Mini followed by Phil Wydra's MGB in 2nd and Brian Donnelly's TD taking 3rd.

We finished the evening with a delicious catered dinner from Westmont's award winning Uncle Bub's BBQ.
