Monthly Meeting Minutes
July 15, 2019

36 Members in attendance

CMGC President Dean Hickenlooper opened the meeting at 7:06 pm. No new members or guests present this month.

Staff Reports
Library– no report
Membership – Victor L’Heureux noted that we currently have 227 paid members with 35 members still delinquent.
Finance – Current accounting indicate we have $6,578 in checking, $18,248 in savings for a total of $24,826

Car Projects
MGA – Club Project Car – replacement exhaust system has been received awaiting installation. Electrical components – plugs, points, ignition cabling – replaced. Brake hoses and other rubber components replaced and braking system bled and checked out. Floorboards are next on the agenda to be refurbished. Currently the project has cost a little over $300.
Dave Bralic noted he was having compression problems. Found no compression in one of the cylinders caused by a blown oil ring. Currently addressing this issue.

Driving Events
Past Driving/Social Event Schedule (additional details of these events are in the August Driveline issue)
June 23-26 – NAMGBR MG-2019 convention in Traverse, City, MI. 15 members attended
July 14 - Day at the Races - Arlington Racetrack – great turnout for the first event. 32 members enjoyed a day at the races with 10 cars showing in the car corral.

July 27 – Autocross II with the Windy City Miata Club
August 4 - Peds in the Weeds
August 24 – rescheduled Aug 10 date for Autocross III with the Windy City Miata Club

Break/ 50:50 raffle – CMGC member Ray Harris was the winner of $35 – (Ray rolled over the winnings for next month. Tim Schafer was the winner of 2 vintage MG glass mugs, Steve Sparks won a bundle of MG parts.

None presented

With no further business to discuss, Phil closed the meeting at 7:49 pm.
