MINUTES FOR MEETING
January 20, 2003

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 by Bill “Wilbur” Mennell. Jim Evans officially inaugurated the new, and returning, officers for the year.
40 members were in attendance, including 4 members attending their first meeting. They are Lloyd and Leona Tatman, 67 BGT, Ken Saby, 72 (or maybe 73) B, and Michael Palizza, 78B.
Tom Sotomeyer is currently scanning old MG sales brochures into his computer and will be willing to supply copies to club members when finished. He is missing all from the ‘60’s and ’72 and ’80. If you have these, he would like to borrow them. If you wish, you can e-mail a PDF file in care of Dave Bralich.

OLD BUSINESS

Mike Hirsch     DUES ARE DUE. Non-renewals will not receive the March issue of Driveline.
November 28th was Cruise to the Rock. Approximately 22-24 cars attended.
December 7th was the Holiday Party. Kudos to Dave Mullis for the successful planning. About 48 people were in attendance.
The Annual Amtrak Road Trip, this time to Bowling Green, KY and the national Corvette museum was a success.

NEW BUSINESS

There is to be a benefit for the family of Mary Kay Cooper Cartolano on January 25th at Annie Tiques in Burbank. Donation is $40 per person. If you cannot make it, donations will still be accepted.
The February 17th meeting will also be our annual awards and business meeting.

Our annual Road America Camping Trip is set for the weekend of July 19-21. Contact Jake Snyder if you would like to attend.
The MG2003 convention will be held the weekend of June 19-21 in St. Louis.
March 22 and 23 are the dates set for the Missouri Endurance Rally. It will consist of about 1000 miles with a 24 hour time limit. There will also be a shorter ˝ rally of 500 miles/12 hours if you do not feel up to the longer event. This is the first of three endurance rallies held this year. The other two are the Around the Lake and the Abingdon trials.
Dave Bralich is the new Technical Session Coordinator. He will try for one major session a month. He will also try for one mini session every month, held after each club meeting.
    Dave Ransom talked about regalia.
Howard Turk talked about the library.
Jim Evans, toolmaster, talked about the clubs tools.
Barney Gaylord talked about the Driveline and Website. He is also looking for help. If you want to volunteer, please contact him. The website now has a protected area. The password is inside of the cover of the current months Driveline. Currently, the only protected areas are the members e-mail addresses and the current issue.

The 50/50 raffle was supplemented by two books graciously donated by Barney Gaylord and postcards donated by Howard Turk. Don Anderson won the money, $36, and Fred Baker and Jim Renkar won the books.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:20.

Respectufully submitted,
Mike Hirsch"
