Saturday turned out to be a beautiful, rain-free day for our Lands’ End Rally. We had 16 cars participating. Our organizer Dean laid out an interesting course through lots of local forest preserves and fishing areas. His directions were clear and many of the roads were shaded by the forest preserve trees giving us cool breezes along the way.



We ended the Rally at Del Rays Chicken where the drinks were cold and the food delicious.

There were three challenges along the rally route, a bean bag toss with a new twist, our time-honored parking challenge and counting crossing signs. But we still needed a tie breaker for third place. The winners for third place were Bill Hendricks, for second place Phil & Sandy Wydra, and for first place Bill Kalafut & Jean Hensley.

Unfortunately, we had one accident. Two of our cars had to be towed home due to a rear end collision. True to our motto “Safety Fast” occupants of each car were not injured.
