Our accommodations at LaQuinta Friday night and the Harborview Hotel on Saturday were quite comfortable and provided great places to hang out in the evenings after our day’s activities. When traveling, I live by the adage,

always expect the unexpected and be delighted when it does occur… it’s part of the journey. Well, I’m not sure anyone else saw her, but there was a mermaid at the Harborview Hotel. She waved at Bill and I, then was gone. We went around the glass and Jeanne said she saw her too. You never know what or whom you will encounter on an MG trip, but you know you will have a great time!
Friday was the best of the three days, weather-wise. Saturday was overcast with some rain, but Sunday was quite rainy. Many folks drove straight home, and did not stop at the Fall Festival in Cedarburg. A few of us did go and had a great time! One of the vendors had a sign that seemed to sum up
the weekend, “Though the weather outside is frightful, the wine (…and I will add MG friends) inside were so delightful!” Scenic roads, good food, lots of laughter, and good friends…all perfect ingredients for a great WC&B weekend! Oops… I forgot… Safety Fast!
