Wade Keene Hello everyone,

As with Bill, as I write this, it hasn’t happened yet, but I have a pretty good feeling that the swap meet went well. Another round of thanks to Jim for organizing one of the high holy days in my household. I hope everyone who either had something to sell or something to buy did well.

Bill mentioned rallies and autocrosses; they will be the topic of this month’s club meeting. Specifically, what you want out of them and any other driving events. As we get the upcoming driving season together we would like to know what people like, what they dislike, etc. We’d like to increase participation, so we need to know what you folks would like to see out of an MG Clubs driving events season. Do you want different types of rallies? Different start times? More tours? Autocross concerns? Something else? Please, come and voice your opinion on this matter. If you can’t make the meeting, give me a call or e-mail me (wadekeene@att.net) so I can relay your opinions to the meeting.

We would also like people to be rallymasters, it can be a lot of fun, and there are plenty of people to help you out. Keep in mind that there are many different kinds of rallies besides gimmick rallies and we can discuss this at the meeting. If there’s something you haven’t liked about past rallies, or just want to get back at someone, here’s your chance.

The April meeting program will be “MG show and tell.” Bring any MG models, memorabilia, grille badges, ads, etc. Whatever MG thing you’d like to show off other than full size cars or run of the mill car parts. Other upcoming programs will/may include presentations on the auto appraisal business, MG originality and concours tips (or how to pick apart someone else’s car), and tires. As with the driving events, if there’s something you’d be interested in, let me know.

Safety Fast,
Wade
