On September 1st, we had six members show up and make short work of the final 400 grit wet sanding. This was done in preparation for body painting. The rear brakes were assembled, the doors were installed, and there were several other minor touch ups.
Then on Monday, September 17th, two people worked on the door alignment, bonnet gutter cleaning, and other minor touch ups.
The day has finally come…September 19th the Project Car gets a trailer ride to paint shop in Glen Ellyn. We expect to have it back in a few days, and then we’ll give it the week off for the paint to cure. The car will remain the original stock color of "chartreuse".
