We now have a date for the Warrenville Funkhana! It will be held on August 24 at the Cantera AMC 30 where we held it last year. It is an interesting facility, since we have to try to maintain a safe distance from the islands scattered throughout the parking lot while creating a fun and challenging course.

As a warmup for this event, our club has been invited to participate in the Saturday leg of the Windy City Miata Club’s weekend autocross at Joliet Junior College on August 23rd. This will NOT be a points event, just another opportunity for some of us die-hard autocrossers to get more seat time. More details are available at:

Yes, I hope that next year we will be able to organize more cooperative events and use them for season points. Is there anybody out there who is a little less “organizationally impaired” than I am who would like to help out? You could be the one to elevate our autocross season from the joke that it is becoming!
