North American MGB Register Chairperson Vote
Candidates' Letters to Affiliate Chapter Members

From: Bruce C. Wyckoff

  • My name is Bruce Wyckoff, and I am running for the position of Chairman, North American MGB Register.

For over 24 years, I have been an enthused and sometimes frustrated owner of British automobiles. Starting with the purchase of my Midget in 1981, which I still own today, I have immersed myself in all things English.

I attended the inaugural meeting of NAMGBR in December 1991, and served as its first Vice Chairman. During my two terms as Vice Chairman, I had the pleasure of working with Founding Chairman, John Twist and his successor, Rick Ingram.

I have also been involved with an organization that uses British cars to raise money for charity. The British Reliability Run (www.abrr.org) shows the durability of our English cars while raising money for children coping with cancer.

As the Chairman of NAMGBR, I will enthusiastically guide this organization with the following goals:

  • Continue the support and evolution of the MGB Driver. This magazine has developed into one of the finest publication in the classic car market. I will work with the Editor to ensure The Driver continues to grow and improve.
  • Work on increasing the membership of NAMGBR. With the demise of MG / Rover, the members of NAMGBR are now the custodians of the MG Marque. I pledge to maintain this heritage that has been passed on to us.
  • Work with other leaders in the MG council to ensure that the next all-register meet in 2006 will be the best attended and most enthusiastic gathering of MGs thus far. I want to see the members of the Chicagoland MG Club turn out in full force for this event in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The Register was formed on the principle that every member and chapter will have a voice in this organization. I will continue this ideal and ensure that NAMGBR will continue moving forward in a positive direction.

John, I would appreciate your support and the support of the Chicagoland MG Club in guiding NAMGBR for the next two years. Please select Bruce Wyckoff on your Chapter ballot as the next Chairman of NAMGBR.

    Safety Fast   Bruce C. Wyckoff, 4168 48th Street, Holland, MI 49423 (269) 751-2625 bcwyckoff@mindspring.com
